What you might not know is that behind them are some pretty incredible women running their own businesses.

I'm a member of Buy Women Built, a community that champions female-founded brands and encourages us all to think a little differently about where we spend our money.

And when I put a call out asking whether any fellow female founders would like to support our first Tea & Trails On Tour, the response was just lovely.

Because building a business isn't easy. And supporting another small business, particularly when you're trying to grow your own, means something.

So I'm making a bit of a fuss about these women today. Because they deserve it.

Founded by Georgie, a yoga teacher and former luxury fabric buyer. She creates beautiful block-printed yoga and relaxation accessories, including those gorgeous eye pillows. All about making a little space to slow down.

Martha is tackling something we don't talk about nearly enough. Her FabLittleBags make disposing of period products easier and more discreet, particularly when you're out and about. Such a simple idea, but such an important one.

Bree has created a skin-first insect repellent brand for people who love spending time outdoors. Practical outdoor essentials that don't have to feel like an afterthought.

Gill's business was inspired by life with four children and two dogs. She makes natural dog treats, including single-ingredient freeze-dried beef treats. One for those of us whose favourite walking companion has four legs!

Founded by Shim in Surrey, Hux + Mu is a small-batch botanical skincare brand. Shim is a natural cosmetic formulator and yoga teacher, and her products are all about slowing down and making everyday skincare feel like a proper little ritual.

Mai started DSKIN after struggling to find genuinely clean, effective skincare for her eczema-prone child. Sometimes the best business ideas come from trying to solve a problem in your own family.
