Why crowd fund?
This is a female founded business, designed by a woman for women. Statistically women are less likely to receive financial backing. And male run businesses are receiving 6.2 times more in funding than female founded businesses. But that doesn’t mean we can’t forge the way for ourselves.
“Mother Cuppa has had an amazing start to business, however, whilst our numbers look great everything we make has been reinvested back into the business, I've yet to take any money for myself out of the brand. It costs me £7000 to bring a new blend to market, this includes the costs of design of the blend, the ingredients, the packaging and design work, the stock and other associated costs. If I can get a pre-order/crowdfunding model right, I would like to use this method to grow the business, fully supported by the wonderful ladies who already love and believe in the brand. It’s lonely being a sole founder, this way I get to get my whole communiTEA involved” Candice

Crowd funding is as it suggests a ‘crowd’ of people coming together to fund an opportunity. In thiscasethe crowd funding campaign is to bring a new blend to Mother Cuppa’s range.
We’ve tried to make this as easy as possible for you. And there are several ways you can choose to contribute and support the production of a new blend.
- 1. Pre-order the product
- 2. Choose to donate an amount you feel fitting to support the business to develop.
- 3. Purchase one of our many rewards on offer from amazing female founded businesses & the money will be used towards the crowdfunding.
Once the crowd funder campaign is complete, we will use those funds to get production underway. We already know what ingredients we want, we just need to order packaging, teabags, tags and the tea it’s self
I will just need a bit of time to pack the tea!
We aim to have the orders with you in the first week of January 2025.

Gosh, we really hope this doesn’t happen, but the possibility is that it might.
Should we not raise our targeted funds all money will be returned to our customers and donators and we will have to dust ourselves off and think of a plan B and maybe a plan C.
If we raise more that would be amazing and our goal would be to add another blend to the range. As you may know, I have been blending for over 20 years and so have an abundance of blends that I just know will really help you all.
If this works, and let’s be honest, that's the dream! I intend to adapt this model to be able to pre-order campaign to add additional blends to the range.
