I have always turned to herbal tea to support my physical health but in the last few years I have been intrigued by it’s support of our mental health as well. Turns out I'm not alone. Other people are turning to herbal tea as a way to improve their mental health. From relieving stress and anxiety to providing a calming effect, herbal teas can have profound positive impacts on mental wellbeing. Let’s take a look at why herbal teas are such an effective source of natural healing and how you can use them to benefit your own mental health.
The term "antioxidant" refers to a group of compounds that can counteract unstable molecules called free radicals. These molecules can cause damage to important parts of cells, such as DNA and cell membranes. Free radicals are unstable because they lack a full complement of electrons, causing them to steal electrons from other molecules and cause damage in the process. Antioxidants work by neutralizing free radicals, which involves sacrificing some of their own electrons. This process acts as a natural "off" switch for the free radicals and helps break a chain reaction that could otherwise affect other molecules and cells in the body. However, it is essential to understand that the term "antioxidant" describes a chemical property rather than a specific nutritional property.
Herbal teas can provide calming effects while green teas can offer energizing benefits during menopause without having too strong a stimulant effect on the body thanks to its low dose of caffeine content compared to coffee or other caffeinated beverages. Both herbal tea and green tea have unique properties that can help manage different symptoms associated with menopause such as insomnia, anxiety, hot flashes or joint pain/stiffness as well as improved mental clarity due to its wide range of vitamins and minerals available within each drink respectively. Ultimately it comes down to personal preference when deciding which type of beverage would benefit your individual needs most effectively during this transitional period of life!
The best service, Candice even takes the trouble to write a little note on every order, now that is someone who cares about her business. And the tea……what can I say? Tastes amazing and feels like it a hug. It’s the tea I reach for first thing, during the day and last thing at night.
Aww Kat, this is such a lovely review, thank you so much for taking the time to notice my little notes and the care that goes in. Really appreciate that. And I am so chuffed you love my blends xx

We've loved our new teas. Our favourite is RELAX. Every night we have a relax tea before bed.
It's so comforting,. The scent is warming and flavours are rich and profound yet warming and blended beautifully.
